Return to 2022: After School Program (September-December)

This fall and winter, the Seattle Tennis and Education Foundation is offering free after school programming at Magnuson Park and we welcome grades 2nd-6th who qualify for free/reduced lunch. We will be offering programming on Mondays and Wednesdays. You have the option to enroll your child on one day or both days, it is up to you. We will be limiting the enrollment, so please only sign up for the day(s) that your child plans to attend.

Each day will feature tennis and physical activity as well as unique enrichment and life skills programming to awaken curiosity, self-esteem, and to deepen learning. STEF delivers proven academic and athletic programming that foster self-sufficiency and help participants develop the skills and confidence to succeed in school and beyond. No prior tennis knowledge or experience is required. Enrichment programming includes modules in the arts, writing, science, field trips, guided discovery and much more, as well as tennis learning and play during the academic year.

Important Information:

  • Programming times will run on Mondays and Wednesdays from 4:15-6:15pm from September 12th - October 19th and will switch to 3:30-5:30pm for October 24th - December 14th.
  • Participants must be dropped off or arrive within 15 minutes of the start of the program.
  • Coaches will meet families across from the Magnuson Park Community Center for pickup and drop off. Tennis occurs within Tennis Center Sand Point and the enrichment/life skills programming takes place within Mercy Magnuson Place.
